Access Recycling has once again trusted Zato for their shredding needs!

After successfully using a 3,000 HP Zato shredder at their previous yard in Adelaide, Australia, Access Recycling has strengthened the partnership by acquiring new equipment for their state-of-the-art shredding plant in Barmedman.

“When it came time to invest in another machine, choosing Zato was an easy decision,” says Adam Perry, owner of Access Recycling.

Outfitting the scrap yard with advanced metal recycling equipment

The new Zato equipment includes a Blue Devil GF4000 pre-shredder, a 1,200 HP Blue Shark hammer mill, and a Blue Sorter separation plant. The Blue Devil pre-shredder works in perfect harmony with the hammer mill, allowing it to effortlessly handle challenging materials like bales, whole vehicles, and thick steel plates.

This system optimizes the entire shredding process, prepping scrap material for the next crucial step: separation. The Blue Sorter plant then takes over, producing clean, high-quality ferrous and non-ferrous fractions that are ideal for resale.

Key benefits of the new installation:

  • A consistent feeding system ensures the shredder operates at maximum efficiency.
  • Output is boosted by up to 40%, while energy consumption drops by 20%.
  • Improved safety features provide enhanced protection for operators.
  • High-quality recycled materials that meet stringent industry standards and are ready for market.
  • Contributes significantly to environmental sustainability by promoting greater recycling and resource reuse.
